PHOENIX AUDIO NICERIZER 16 MK2 - HAS ARRIVED DECEMBER 2006

User response to the Phoenix Audio Nicerizer 16 has been more than exciting. Phrases such as "It's the sound stupid!" spring to mind when weighing up the benefits of various summing amp features. It did become apparant however that extra monitoring facilities would become an issue as the industry enhanced it's awareness of the summing amp concept. The following features have been added :
3 extra positions on the Monitor control. 1: Pre-Master-fade (post mix bus, pre output stage) 2: Aux Output 3: 2-Track Return / Aux Return
A: Auxiliary Output. (on 1/4" TRS Jacks) This has independent level control and is pre-master fader and Output transformers (post mix bus). Now you can send two stereo signals to two separate sets of monitors. B: 2-Track return (Aux Return) (on 1/4" TRS Jacks) The addition of the 2 track return (Aux return) means you can now monitor directly what's happening at the 2 track outboard (converter or CD burner or reference CD or whatever), hear what's going to tape/CD/DVD

PIGTRONIX OFO DISNORTION

Pigtronix has added the OFO Disnortion to their portfolio. Pigtronix EP-1 Envelope Phaser. The unique magic of the Pigtronix OFO Disnortion is parallel Fuzz and Overdrive, allowing you to pile on the gain without sacrificing clarity, dynamic response, punch or low end. Well voiced tone and shape controls allow you to focus each effect on its own frequency range. The Octava is wired in series before the Overdrive and Fuzz, allowing the pedal to produce a unique type of gated, knarly grind that is absolutely devastating.
The EP-1 is an expressive, flexible, dynamic effect with a warm analog personality, versatile tone palette and a stage friendly interface. EP-1’s "EF trigger" input allows an instrument’s sound to be phase modulated by an external audio source such as a drum machine or laptop beat. This side chain input can even be used as an FX loop for maintaining accurate envelope response when using other effects in line before the EP-1. The Envelope Phaser also features footswitchable phase inversion, expression pedal speed control for mind bending rotary speaker effects and can even be used as a clean analog fat booster. Destined to be the modulation effect of choice for many guitarists and bass players looking or that elusive "liquidtone"
the EP-1 will also find itself at home in the hands of DJs, laptop musicians and recording engineers.
