Phoenix Audio Nicerizer 16 MK2 - FROM AUGUST 2006

The Nicerizer 16 was originally conceived because of the demand from customers for something that would "sweeten" the output from pro-tools and other DAW, and to make the final mix easier to distribute and handle.
The Nicerizer 16 is designed to take the output out of the digital realm, and to add the Class A characteristics and feel before the final recording.

The “Nicerizer 16” uses our well proven and loved Class A output stage, but also has our latest breakthrough in transformerless Class A, Discrete Line Input Technology.
The Nicerizer 16 is a 2U 19" rack mountable 16 - 2 Summing Mixer, that can be stacked and linked in any multiple and various configurations to give high quality, line-level, Class A, discrete buffering, summing and mixing.

Nicerizer 16 MK2 Specifications:

16 channels of our Class A, discrete, truly balanced transformerless input stage.
Our proven and loved Class A, discrete, transformer balanced output stage (DSOP-2). Individual pan control for each channel (16 x Pan pots)
16 x Balanced Input XLR's. Can accept balanced or unbalanced input with no -6dB loss.
3 extra positions on the Monitor control. 1: Pre-Master-fade (post mix bus, pre output stage) 2: Aux Output 3: 2-Track Return / Aux Return A: Auxiliary Output. (on 1/4" TRS Jacks) This has independent level control and is pre-master fader and Output transformers (post mix bus). Now you can send two stereo signals to two separate sets of monitors. Phoenix DRS-2 Stereo Class A Microphone pre-amplifier/DI

Phoenix The DRS-2 Mic-Pre/DI uses our well proven and loved Class A output stage (DSOP-2), but also has our latest breakthrough in transformerless Class A, Discrete Mic Input Technology which gives a "valve-like" sound. It also incorporates our high input impedance DI circuitry.
The DRS-2 is the culmination of over 40 years experience designing Class A circuitry within the Audio Recording Industry.
The DRS-2 was the first bespoke product to be launched by Phoenix Audio (UK) in the U.K. in November 1999, and has enjoyed an almost “cult” following ever since. The Class A output stage (TF1) was originally designed by David Rees, the designer of the famous Nevetm 2253 Limiter and 2254 Limiter/compressor (amongst many other designs), as a retrofit for Nevetm modules, and the TF1 has now been superseded by the DSOP2 output stage.
The Class A, discrete, truly balanced, transformerless microphone input stage was designed to out-perform any transformer input for frequency response, yet has all the characteristics expected in a high quality Class A design, while the discrete, Class A, high input-impedance DI stage delivers a clearer, stronger and more defined and open sound that captures all the nuances and subtleties of your instrument.

Maximum Output: +26dBu @ 1Khz Noise: –90dB @ 22Hz to 22KHz.
Advantages: The Class A DI has a very high input impedance (10Mohm), without the use of FET's. This means that the guitar pickups are not loaded as with a lower impedance input, and so allows every transient to be reproduced, making even a cheap guitar sound exceptional.
Inputs: 1/4" jack (TS) input on the front panel.
Output configuration: Transformer isolated, balanced output (XLR) on the rear panel and a 1/4" jack (TS) unbalanced output on the front panel.
