These musically relevant harmonics - present in subtle amounts - actually add to the richness of the original signal. The low end tonality is thick and powerful, with frequency response several octaves below audibility. The high end is clear, present, and smooth, with a frequency response extending beyond 100kHz. The phase coherence is unrivaled at all frequencies, which keeps the sound as natural as possible - especially vital when blending the direct signal with a microphone capture of the same source. Inputs include a 48V XLR mic input and two instrument inputs. Two independent transformer isolated DI outputs can be sourced from either the mix or the individual channel. This allows you to send the front of house a mix or each channel independently. A dedicated, level controlled amplifier output can be sourced from the mix or channel 2. A dedicated tuner output stays active when all the other outputs are muted. A side panel mounted 1\/8” mini jack headphone amplifier is there for practicing, private noodling during boring soundchecks, or scrutinizing dubious eq decisions. First sonic observations were that the Di seemed to have similar sonic characteristics of other Grace products, with a wider range of headroom. We were able to use something as soft as passive pickup acoustic to an active electric bass in the same input and the Di produced quality Lo Z signal without any distortion or clipping on the front end. Low-end feels clear and true while maintaining natural and not over-hyped high-end brilliance.
